About Lara...
I am a Toronto based, self taught artist (unless you count highschool art class), movie nerd (unless a nerd would've seen the Godfather films by now) and had a really hard time deciding whether I should write this in the first or third person ( Lara chose first)
I mainly work in acrylic on canvas currently focusing on pop culture subject matter. While not rigid about the subject - I am fortunate to constantly learn from each piece while painting images of the movies and characters that I cherish. What continues to surprise and excite me is that in depicting these iconic images I realize how much I've underestimated how influential they've been in not only my own life but in that of others.
Now excuse me while I compare every man I meet to Indiana Jones...
